So first of all, welcome to Dyspros' very first test drive meme! We're happy that you're interested in the game, and we hope that you have some fun playing with the setting, regardless of whether you decide to join or not.

As a general reminder, we recommend that you look over the game information before jumping in. In addition, if you decide you're ready to join, you're welcome to put in a reserve, and applications will open on May 4th at 12:01 AM (EST). Finally, if you have any questions or concerns, please send us a message!

So now, without further ado, let's get to playing:

A ; NEW RECRUIT

Well then, welcome to the guild, Initiate! After some thought (or maybe the choice was obvious), you've finally settled on a guild, and you're ready to get started. You're welcome to check out your accommodations and see what kind of people you'll be living with for the foreseeable future. This is your home now, so hopefully you get alone with them. If not, then you can just spend all of your time sharpening your skills!

Whether you're just claiming your bed or you're jumping right into the thick of things to practice or sign up for a mission, a new recruit is unlikely to go unnoticed.

B ; MISSION TIME

It's your first mission, which is pretty exciting, right? You have all these pictures in your head of going off to fight a dragon, to come home with great riches and valor...

Too bad those missions are for the higher ups.

No, it's the middle of the night, and you're out guarding the small fields just outside of town from wild animals. Right now you're standing by the cucumbers, which are considered especially important to guard, for some reason. You have to fight off sleepiness somehow, so maybe an animal will come out for you to scare off, or maybe you'll just end up chatting with whoever is stuck doing this with you.

Or you know, if you're a dick, you'll steal the vegetables for yourself.

C ; STORM THE CASTLE

Okay, the missions for initiates are pretty lame, and you're ready for some real fighting. You can go alone, or you can go with some other people, but it's off to Castle Dyspros! You'll find a variety of creatures to fight, and the power of teamwork will help you make progress through the castle!

Or you'll die. There's that too. Good thing it's fairly inconsequential, if weird!

Either way, have fun fighting to your heart's content!

[really, it was obvious from the get-go that colress would be interested in the Academics guild out of all others. shooting magic from his fingertips seemed fun and all (raw power only contained by pokémon...!!), but if he heard right he'd be able to do those things at a later point in time. right now, what he needed was resources. what is the history of the land, what are the creatures like, what should he expect?

and what better place to find such information than in a scholar's library?

which is precisely why he's settled in a seemingly empty dorm, tucked away in a corner reading over the scrolls and texts with a delicate touch. set aside is also some electronic trinkets he had hidden in his coat pocket, none of them working.

maybe he's trying to figure out what the hell happened to them for them to stop working.]

that was a yawn. colress normally wasn't the one for hard labor, but missions meant money and rank ups (apparently), and he isn't exactly fond of sharing a room. so, sucking it up, he proceeds to take his first mission which is... not exactly as he assumed it'd be. people of his status are meant to stay up until the wee hours of the night, but that's usually to read books, not to guard a garden.

seriously, did he really give up precious sleep over looking over a few plants for payment?

he's tired, as is evident from the way he's leaning against the rotting wooden fence-- he wants sleep, he wants fresh linens to rest in. it's cold and dark and buggy and let's not mention how cranky he's feeling. to pass the time, he finally decides to turn to his partner, the other unfortunate soul who was stuck with him on this mission.]

A horrendously basic "first mission", wouldn't you agree?

[N, on the other hand, has indeed lost sleep over plants before because fuck you if you don't think all matters composed of cells aren't alive, there are studies to prove they are he will shove them down your throat if you so much as think plant-murder is acceptable, but digressions, digressions-- one would assume he would have a smashing time in a magical garden in a magical new world of magical going-ons, but being stuck with someone he only knew as the man responsible for enabling his father to catch, brainwash, and harm kyurem made him a little...tense.

No, because unlike you, I have respect for living things and consider it an honor to watch over such a magnificent garden.

[a little white lie, he's actually tired and bored and craving hummus and playing with the shy flowers lost its novelty awhile ago, but he figured that would be enough to shut the jerk up. stop talking to him you awful human being.]

[ The Mage Guild's dungeon is the last place anyone wants to be, yet here you are. Whatever Ossidia wants you to do for a Rank 1 mission, it sure does seem important... and dangerous. That's the number one adjective that should first come to mind when dealing with the guildmaster Ossidia.

Unfortunately, you have no choice but to stay put in the arms of her two undead child servants. Try not to mind their rotting smell as she makes preparations. A sinister chuckle escapes her as she chucks the ingredients in and churns the bubbling mixture of organs and questionable liquids. Ossidia begins muttering, and the concoction starts to glow. ]

[ Poof! A mushroom cloud forms above the potion, now a bright shade of pink. Shortly after the liquid settles, Ossidia takes a ladle of it and pours it in a cup. ]

This better be worth the hours I spent castrating wild deer and gouging out the eyes of stray dogs—oh, Firuze de Roche! ♥ The things I do for you...

[ UH, YEAH, SHE'S SAYING THAT WHILE YOU'RE STILL HERE! Maybe you shouldn't have taken this mission after all... ]

Just the sound of her voice as she mixes that potion is enough to churn his stomach. She was truly a fearsome woman... No matter how many traps he set, how many bodyguards he hired, she was still always able to weasel her potions into his drinks somehow. Yeah, actually, his legs still felt like jelly from the one that she had used to drag him here, and who even knows what vile thing she's making now... ]

While I'm flattered that such a lovely woman would be willing to go through such pains for my—ergh—sake... This is a little much. [ As usual... ]

I mean, I'm hardly worth the trouble, really. Why don't you share your, uh, affection with someone else?

Firuze de Roche - Dyspros NPC (Thieves Guild Guildmaster)

Let's see...

[ It was a pretty rowdy night last night, so it looks like you got yourself in some trouble. But luckily, as an initiate, you managed to get bailed out of jail somehow. It's something of a perk for the Thieves' Guild to have rather...short jail sentences, but still, just serving the time meant that you weren't opposite of the guildmaster. He's flipping through some paperwork, probably about why you ended up in jail, and how much it cost to get you out.

He looks over it for a minute, but then laughs, shaking his head as it sets it on his desk, facing down. He looks up and half smirks, but shrugs as if this situation is helpless. ]

So what happened, Initiate? I've got the paper, but your side of the story is hopefully more colorful. We'll work out how you'll pay it back after.

Prince Maximilian | Valkyria Chronicles

[Standing at the front of the entrance after having traversed through the ornate doors, Maximilian stretches out an arm towards the monster and trap filled corridors. His eyes narrow.]

As of now, it is with absolute certainty that the end is beyond reach. What we yet lack is power to conquer this eldritch structure. However, even as we are less than a dozen strong, there are no monsters too insurmountable or spoils too unattainable.

Conquer. Raid. Pillage. That is why we are here. This is only our first step.

[Reaching for his side and drawing his blade, Maximilian begins his walk further into the castle's innards.]

Follow me and you will not fall.

[ too long, didn't listen -- in the middle of the boring speech, Sion's already sneaked past the chatty guy and wandered further inside.

she's taking out a bird-like monster just as Maximilian and whoever is with him comes into view. smiling very cheerfully as she sheaths her blades, Sion turns to wave. ]

[ if there is one thing hirato's never expected to be losing sleep over, it would have to be vegetables and grain and all those things grown in fields. even so, it's almost nostalgic enough to be endearing, this kind of simple grunt mission, though admittedly even the missions hirato had been given back home when he was just a young lad were more exciting than this. more meaningful, in a way. or two. either way, they'd certainly felt more meaningful back then, but maybe he'd just been blinded by a sense of duty.

oh, the boredom is so obvious on his face now. in fact, he can't say that he even cares enough to summon up one of his usual smiles, horrifically insincere as they tend to be. instead he leans back against a fence, sword clinking against it, and he tries to hold back a yawn that isn't the result of fatigue at all.

how very basic, this. though it takes all kinds, he supposes. there's no reason here for him to not take this at least semi-seriously, even if it feels ridiculous to be reduced to an initiate.

the reason he speaks up, that gently acknowledging glance he shoots his partner-- it's not so much for the sake of being friendly as it is for the sake of making time pass just a little faster. ]

And how are we faring over there?

[said in good humour, though. there's nothing interesting about this mission -- if it can even be called that -- and the night is young.]

A. Academics Guild

[Her room is small and lacking much decoration, but she doesn't really have much of a choice if she doesn't want to be in battle. Being a merchant, selling and buying and all the like, seems more like her thing than going off to fight monsters. Honestly she's not sure what it really entails, being a mage or a fighter.

Better to be safe than hold people back out in missions. For now, she leaves her purse on her bed and still clothed in the uniform from home, she steps out of her room--and bumps right into someone around the next turn.]

I'm sorry! [Taking in the other person, she hopefully asks] Are you new as well?

D. Ironwall District

[Next step is exploring the district of course. Busy and full of life, Koharu certainly stands out amongst all the locals, but the chattering and shops makes it feel more like home. Slipping through the crowds, she looks into shops, seeing what this world sells.

She pauses at each of the other guilds, wondering for a little what each is like inside before. The Steelarm is oddly reminiscent of home in atmosphere and buildings alike, and she inches closer to peek into the halls. The Seven Titans--that's the fighters guild, she remembers and she gives it a bit of a wide berth as she looks it over. Surely it's not as if the members of the guild are at all violent by nature and anyone can see she's not the type for the guild--and already in a guild on her own. It's just hard to imagine anyone living in there but rough fighters with whom she'd have nothing in common.

Maybe she's been standing there a little too long, looking at the other strange guilds, because she's starting to attract attention. And now it occurs to her that she didn't keep track of the way she came here. She taps the nearest person on the shoulder]

Pardon, do you know the way back to the Salamander and Gold?

[Mami was in roughly the same situation as Koharu, wandering the town and trying to get a handle on her bearings. It was important to know your surroundings. She turns when the young woman taps her on the shoulder, smiling softly when she realizes she must be another newcomer like herself.]

I can't say that I know for sure, but I believe I remember passing it. Are you in a hurry?

[the young boy looks out of place here. the whole 'thin and not very muscular', the whole '5'0"', the whole... well, there's a lot of things that lead one to believe that perhaps he's mistaken. because this is not the scholar's guild; this is the warrior's guild that he is standing in front of, looking like he's trying to make up his mind. looking like he ... really badly wants to go in but can't work up the courage to make his feet move.

he's got a notebook and pen in hand, too. maybe he's really trying to decide on something else - such a small teenager can't possibly be looking into being a warrior, can he?]

[one tiny paladin looking for group. of course, most people have not taken him up on this offer because he looks a little silly in the armor that's just a bit too big for him, a sword it's not clear if he can totally wield correctly...

[ bless his young heart indeed. while many would scorn at letting a young lad like this tag along, hirato quite firmly believes that's what makes so many people the sad fools that they are. he knows that the most amazing things can come from something small and insignificant. and maybe he sees himself there to a certain degree, when he was still growing and learning the basics of being a soldier.

but he also decides to approach because of a selfish desire; this could be interesting, and lord knows hirato is just a little bored here--

[The mission is one of tedium, but that can't be helped. Being of low rank is still new and exciting to Dio, and yes: he did sign up for this specific mission intentionally. It gives him liberty to do whatever he wants, for the most part, which he's probably said to whoever's with him at least once on the way out here.

Currently he is lying in the grass, looking for all the world like he was born to lie in the grass next to a cucumber patch. He isn't tired, though, and after a spot of idle humming he sits up suddenly, with an excited Oh! and a point up into the sky.]

Shooting star!

[He laughs, then flops back down with both his arms raised, making a frame with his hands around some more stationary stars. The next time he speaks it's most definitely to his favorite new partner:]

[Check out Ironwall, they said. It's fantastic, they said. But somehow Dio's wandered into Nickelhollow and, wow, it's pretty rough around the edges here. He isn't exactly worried for his safety as he wanders the streets, occasionally stopping to get very excited about something strange being peddled by a nearby seller and then moving on without buying anything.

Tiring of that, he finds a tall wooden something, presumably a something that transports something else, to climb on top of and perch there, watching the crowd below. The market is starting to lose its charm already, and he's thinking about maybe making his way back to Ironwall to properly judge just how fantastic it is when he spots some shady behavior out of the corner of his eye.

Which is why you, the passerby, are suddenly tapped on the shoulder, and when you turn around you'll meet Dio, hanging upside down from the top of his crate-thing, holding something that's decidedly yours and pointing at someone else's retreating back.]

That guy just robbed you!

[ In comparison to Dio's whimsy, Gwendolyn is serious and stoic, and has been standing alert nearby with her spear leaning on her shoulder more casually, but her hands never leave it. She's diligent with looking over the field, though even she would admit to herself that this was hardly the most exciting mission to have...

Though as her partner suddenly sits up, she looks to the sky too, and for the first time that night, smiles. ]

'Tis a beautiful thing. Though... [ She hesitates, since she's not really one for idle conversation, but continues out of politeness, ] 'Tis also strange, to see the sky so still. For a shooting star to be so rare, it feels odd. Perhaps it is an sign of good luck to come for you.

[ the choice was screamingly obvious. he'd gotten sick of playing nice fast. the mercenary life was made for him—never getting chided for killing in excess or for not bothering to take a razor to his face—he'd be a fool to bypass it. there's no talk of much that's familiar but he dares to stay optimistic. you could find opportunity in the strangest of places if you looked hard enough.

what he has bypassed is a few moments of relaxation. instead, he heads back out to the city to take a gander around. occasionally, he stops someone with a friendly smile. ]

[ look, there were only so many things he was willing to do for the sake of a client. he could usually avoid working with riffraff by demonstration of his skill alone, thus avoiding a stupid job like guarding a field of cucumbers, but the sad truth is that he doesn't have the precedent of reputation here. so sad. except even if you looked closely, this guy just looks rightly pissed off. the only thing that would turn the tables was if he'd get a chance to see some action. he paces in agitation, rattling the sword sheathed at his side, and squints at the other person on this job with him. ]

Fall asleep in unfamiliar company and you might not get the chance to wake up. Catch my drift?

[ it's not an explicit threat, okay? just a reminder to stay focused. ]

[ Aoi is a scholar, though at first glance he might not look it. With his messy brown hair and his friendly smile, he looks like the furthest thing from some pretentious academic. But that's what he is...

Sitting along the border of the field with his partner (were they scouting? boredly sitting with him?), Aoi is drawing really bad pictures of cats in the dirt with a stick. It isn't until he thinks he hears rustling in the stocks that he lifts his head and mutters, ]

Did you hear that?

[ Aoi has invited you to check out his swag scholar room because for some reason you didn't believe he WASN'T living in a shitty bedroom space like everyone else.

As you step in, he'll follow behind, laughing to himself somewhat. ]

[ As a proud member of the Lancer's guild, Gwendolyn is the fighter of the pair, and has been standing at alert since they arrived. Even though it's a simple mission, it seems like she's taking it quite seriously... She's been considering criticizing her partner for not keeping the same level of diligence, but at the rustling, she shifts her spear slightly in her hand, though she knows it's unlikely that she'll actually use it. ]

Indeed. Shall we go check together, or do you wish to stay here?

Lucciola | Last Exile

[ The choice for him was simple. While he had training in several fields, all in the interest of protecting a certain scion, the lancer class was a given. Being on the front lines was a new idea for a mere bodyguard like him, but he didn't lack in skill and just needed to adapt to the heavier weaponry.

The most difficult part of this was likely the idea of sharing a room with a stranger. No part of him had ever truly felt like it was entirely his own. His other half was missing and the look of the mattress in front of him made his stomach sink. He deserved this lonely feeling, but lonely it was.

He sighed, frowning ever so carefully and debating whether he should flop onto the bed and rest in the darkness of the pillow or move on to explore the location on his own. ]

B;

[ Guarding is second nature to Lucciola. It is in his blood, almost literally speaking, and it is no bother to him if the task is menial. He doesn't look much for conversation, standing at attention the way he is, but he will respond if his accompanying party will stay awake more easily because of it.

And... maybe he's a little curious about bonding with new people, too. It wasn't so bad on the Silvana, after all. ]

[He's late. The first mission, and he's already decided to take the scenic route, because really, it's - it's vegetables. They'll be fine if he turns up five minutes late, which he does, and flaps his hands and apologizes to his partner for being late, which he starts to do, but--

Well, he stops, and stands there with his hands in the air and stares. It's dark, could he be seeing things? Could it be a trick of the (moon)light that has seemingly produced the one thing that had the potential to render him speechless? His hands droop a little and he makes a face, twisted somewhere between beaming and wanting to cry.

There's one more agonizing second he just stands there before he throws his hands up again, properly, and all but leaps the last steps between them.

Did you want a hug, Lucciola, because you are getting one hell of a hug.]

[That the Thieves Guild is underground sits strangely with him, but it's the only guild he's had any inclination to visit since arriving in this world. Itachi lingers above, reluctant despite that. The marked sewer lid (which his eyes picked out easily) is still foreign territory, and it makes him tense.

Eventually he descends, adjusting to the dimness, walking down a line of shops and silently observing the inventory.

He gives off an unapproachable air, but who doesn't, down here? And if he happens to bump into anyone or obstruct someone's path, he'll say quietly--] Excuse me.

[Whoever he's here with, he hasn't spoken a word, not even in greeting. Itachi stands stone-still as he looks out across the field, somehow focused despite his distant body language.

He's an assassin, but if he has any weapons on him they're well concealed.]

[ Being a Gambler, he's been trying to become acquainted with the area in the best way he knows how: Lying his way into good graces, making up various life stories, and using his sleight of hand to extract what he needed for survival purposes. He was just watching over his shoulder as he walked away from a new friend when he bumps right into somebody. ]

[ He stares, his hand having sought out whatever it could find in Itachi's coat at the miniature collusion, meanwhile. ]

Sorry ... it's easy to get distracted when everything's so new.

[ Louise is a knight, and takes her duty very seriously. In fact, the entire night you've been on guard with her, she seems to have not said a word to you. Is she giving you the stiff? Just plain uninterested? Well, it's boring, and she doesn't seem to be a good partner to indulge on this tedious assignment. The task is really dragging on and on and on...

COME ON GIRL, TALK TO YOUR PARTNER. Oh wait, is she finally going to say something? ]

[ dragging on and on is right. nothing's happened, he's mad that he's even here, and the only viable entertainment for the night has clammed up. he tries talking to her a few times, angrily giving up when she doesn't reply and stalking off to the opposite end of the garden's perimeter. what a damn shame. and then when he least expects it, she's talking. ]

So you finally have something to say. Are you? If you're tired, maybe you should have thought about that before you turned up your nose at me, little lady.

C; [ So whatever strategic approach you've decided to take for an ambush on these creatures has led you to the exact point where Hei was planning to attack and recuperate from. Get ready to be condescended at..................

[ She raises a brow, too polite to talk back for the moment. Hello there, Mr. Tall, Dark, and Moody. ]

[ in her opinion, Kururu doesn't really mind guarding a field of cucumbers. and being an acolyte isn't so bad either— it's distinctly different from being a tuner, but if she gets to help her teammates just as much as she used to as back when she was a tuner, then it's all good.

however, she's only a teenager, and Kururu here might be nodding a bit while trying to wake herself up. ]

[ Kougyoku pokes Kururu's cheek. It's weird, she's never done this before. It's kind of fun, and there's nothing else to do but watch the cucumbers grow...

[There was nothing more boring than watching over somebody's vegetable garden. Gareki didn't particularly care about it, so having to guard over it was a complete bummer. On the other hand... apparently these vegetables attract animals. Well, that's the main reason why he's being put here... but that's not important right now.

What is important is the fact that these animals could be rare meat. So don't mind some suspicious kid going around and picking up a bunch of those cucumbers. He's harvesting them so he can catch those animals and make them into stew tonight.]

D;

[Aw crap! Gareki might have wandered a little too close into the Steelmount area and now he's being chased by the authorities. He didn't do anything wrong. Yet. But apparently he just looks pretty damn shady, so that must mean he's up to no good.

He'll duck into a corner or something just to give himself a chance to take a breather. Incidentally, the boy will end up running into you. You'll feel bad for this pitiful kid and help him hide, right?

Or you can be rude and turn him in. He'll certainly remember your face for this though.]

[ Yogi always seems to show up at the right times just to save your butt, doesn't he? You should be forever grateful to him!

... Though in actuality when Yogi spies the boy in hiding, he is completely unaware of his situation or why on Earth he could be hanging out in a place like this. Not like any of that mattered though- his friend was here! And what kind of friend would he be without a proper greeting? ]

Oh! Hello Gareki-kun! [ Blowing his cover? Oblivious. ] Aaah, I didn't know you were going to be here! Are you playing a game?

[ Because really the only reason he can think of Gareki being such a location would be nothing more than playing hide-and-go-seek or something! What fun! ]

Now, Apollo is a nice kid, and he's really great at finding wild animals! He can catch their scent from pretty far off. However, when it comes to guard duty, he's not so great. Patience is not a major virtue of his, and when he's basically supposed to stay up all night guarding food, he's even less competent.

So only about an hour has passed before he just sits down and starts plucking some cucumbers and munching them for himself. ]

[ Does that catch Apollo off-guard? It should. This is not Alexander's responsibility, but he always makes sure to keep an eye out for troublemakers. The man in armor approaches with caution. ]

[ Leon is just walking around and taking in the Mage Guild's decore. It's...very unique, for lack of better words. He's extremely appreciative of the vast array of books at his fingertips however. In fact, that is the one of the major reason why he was willing to join this guild in particular.

Which is exactly where he eventually finds himself. His fingers hover above the books' spines as he tries to figure out which book to read first. ]

[ while some people may be completely bored with the idea of watching cucumbers grow, Leon is taking this chance to catch up on some of his reading. late nights are nothing foreign to him, and he's cozying up next to the lantern with a book that he may or may not have lifted from the library.

he'll return it. honest! ]

[This is almost insulting. He wouldn't have even joined one of these guilds if the whole damn place didn't seem to revolve around them, but join Guts did, and he's regretting it instantly. It's more like a bar than any civilized mercenary group in here, just a bunch of drunken morons getting into fights and collapsing wherever they may pass out from either trauma or booze. It's the only place that only vaguely fits his skill set and demeanor, though, so this giant of a one-eyed man will have to do what he can to fit in. If that means breaking in the faces of anyone who bothers him, so be it.]

C) Let's Adventuring
[This is too damn easy. Centipede-things, turtles, mushrooms, it's almost a joke compared to the things he's fought before. But they insist, don't go too fast. Don't get in over your head. Don't go alone.

He was willing to listen to the first two bits of advice, but forget the third. A loner at heart, Guts went into the fray by himself, and he's having no trouble cleaving things in half with that ridiculously-huge greatsword of his. [Starting from the bottom again is incredibly frustrating, not that she'd show it - but as long as she's stuck here, it's got to be done.]

[So Kuroyukihime's presented herself at the Seven Titans, announcing her intent to follow the path of a Punisher. Time to drag herself up the ranks again, with a calm smile on her face all the way and a clever eye cast towards running the place. That's the only way she's going to figure anything out about this world.]

[She's currently getting the hang of using a blade that's not attached to her, slashing at the training dummies at far too close a range - so she backs up a little, and the sword sways slightly in her hand. With a tightening of her grip she's got it secure again, and she stops for a moment to smile at her hands.]

That's right it's The Mysterious Hooded Figure(tm). Wait, what do you mean she can't trademark that? Alright it's just Hiyoko in a old cloak she'd picked up somewhere. She likes it because it hides her face and gives her an air of mystery and danger which will give an edge on missions! Such as guarding veggies.

Her life as a hunter gatherer as made her ever vigilant and alert. With lighting fast reflexes and strength to back it all up.

In fact she'll be swinging at the movement in the corner of her eye. ]

The birds here aren't intelligent. At least she hasn't gotten them to speak to her yet. But she does know some birdie melodies from music class at St. Pigeonations! Maybe if she sang the right song they'd sing along and then they could be friends!

Not that she doesn't want to be friends with humans! No, it's wonderful that there's so many here but she does miss the company of birds. And her bird friends.

The hooded figure can be found making cooing and whistling noises through cupped hands at a gathering of birds. ]

[He hadn't really decide which guild to join but there was no harm in checking all the guilds available so he had all the information necessary to make a sound decision. It would had been best if he had his Gundam but that was seemingly impossible, at least for now, so there was no point in wasting time and energy being angry about his situation. He needed to survive first before he could focus on finding a way out.

Stepping into the main hall, he looked around for the reception or information counter, as he eyed the surrounding and the people inside. It was important to know what he was getting himself into as he had no intention of joining a guild full of unfit people.]

You. [He called out to the nearest person.] Where is the information counter?

[He stood leaning against the scarecrow, quietly eyeing the field of cucumbers he had to guard for the night. He came prepared, having took a good amount of sleep prior to his mission time so he wouldn't fall asleep but he underestimated the pull of sleep when one had literally nothing to do but keep watch. He sighed, beginning to regret taking this mission but it was literally the only thing he could do because his level wouldn't allow him to take on any of the more interesting ones. Toughing this out would test his patience, something that was never his strong point to begin with.

Rolling his shoulders, he stood away from the scarecrow with the intention of patrolling the cucumber field for the eighth times. He turned to his partner before setting out,] I'm going to round the perimeter. Keep watch.

[ To be quite honest, Ace didn't expect to be partnered with such a... cautious guy. Not that he minded. Ace himself always preferred that kind of method, and thus why Tieria's movement didn't come out as weird as it was to Ace than how it would come out to random people. In short, there was an unsaid aptness between the two. Thus why he said nothing much even until his seventh patrol. Ace would let his assigned partner to do things his way, just like how he would do his own.

After some time, things indeed got bored quickly and that prompted him to find a spot to relax for a bit. Sitting comfortably just right next to Tieria, Ace merely tilted his head a little, a sigh coming out from his mouth no sooner. ]

In contrast of her usual sweet demeanor, her seriousness is showing on her face as her full attention's grabbed fully by the content of the book.

[Let's say that the once-brave group was almost gone, literally. At first, things was going rather well for the brave adventurers, until a mob of Rank 4 monsters ambushed them. Sure, after desperate attempts to drive them away, things went haywire no more. But sadly, in cost of the whole party members' conditions; Deuce herself is probably the unluckiest. The wounds around her stomach, as one can easily tell, are obviously fatal.

Maybe you barely survived as well, but luck be damned if you never learned any healing spell, because if so, she's probably the appointed healer for the group. Now, how would you get out of this mess, ladies and gentlemen?]

[Dio really likes these bunk beds. He likes them so much he wants to talk about it, but the girl in the one below him seems pretty determined to not make contact with the outside world. He's tried everything from loud humming to "dropping" things over the side to the floor, and - nothing!!
