TEST DRIVE MEME

So first of all, welcome to Dyspros' very first test drive meme! We're happy that you're interested in the game, and we hope that you have some fun playing with the setting, regardless of whether you decide to join or not.

As a general reminder, we recommend that you look over the game information before jumping in. In addition, if you decide you're ready to join, you're welcome to put in a reserve, and applications will open on May 4th at 12:01 AM (EST). Finally, if you have any questions or concerns, please send us a message!

So now, without further ado, let's get to playing:

A ; NEW RECRUIT

Well then, welcome to the guild, Initiate! After some thought (or maybe the choice was obvious), you've finally settled on a guild, and you're ready to get started. You're welcome to check out your accommodations and see what kind of people you'll be living with for the foreseeable future. This is your home now, so hopefully you get alone with them. If not, then you can just spend all of your time sharpening your skills!

Whether you're just claiming your bed or you're jumping right into the thick of things to practice or sign up for a mission, a new recruit is unlikely to go unnoticed.

B ; MISSION TIME

It's your first mission, which is pretty exciting, right? You have all these pictures in your head of going off to fight a dragon, to come home with great riches and valor...

Too bad those missions are for the higher ups.

No, it's the middle of the night, and you're out guarding the small fields just outside of town from wild animals. Right now you're standing by the cucumbers, which are considered especially important to guard, for some reason. You have to fight off sleepiness somehow, so maybe an animal will come out for you to scare off, or maybe you'll just end up chatting with whoever is stuck doing this with you.

Or you know, if you're a dick, you'll steal the vegetables for yourself.

C ; STORM THE CASTLE

Okay, the missions for initiates are pretty lame, and you're ready for some real fighting. You can go alone, or you can go with some other people, but it's off to Castle Dyspros! You'll find a variety of creatures to fight, and the power of teamwork will help you make progress through the castle!

Or you'll die. There's that too. Good thing it's fairly inconsequential, if weird!

Either way, have fun fighting to your heart's content!

But wouldn't that be the point? [ He shifts through toward the crop, pushing the stocks out of the way as he ventures inside. ]

[blacker]

[ A twig goes whirling past Aoi's head. So close that it makes a whistling sound right by his ear. ]

[dappster]

[ Shouts in surprise, trips, falls back. ]

[blacker]

[ Looks down at him... ]

I threw a stick. [ He's still whispering. ]

[dappster]

Ugh... Why would you do that?! [ He crushed a plant, and there's a cucumber pressing into his butt D< He rubs at his head, even though he didn't hit his head. ]

[blacker]

I was trying to scare whatever it was off! [ He quickly hooks his arms beneath Aoi's underarms, to try and help him up! ]

[dappster]

With a stick?! Why couldn't you warn me? [ He has squished cucumber on his butt now, and as he takes a step back to gain his balance, he steps on yet another cucumber. ] I'm destroying this crop! Am I going to get fired for this? [ He just sulks... and slumps. ]

[blacker]

No one has to know. [ He offers, allaying, and bends down to pick up one of the cucumbers. ] We can just eat these...

[dappster]

They're not even clean. Unless you can hide it somewhere for later, I think we should leave them. [ He works on dusting himself off. ]

[blacker]

Food can just be washed. [ "Li" begins rubbing the cucumber with his shirt, trying to think of a good hiding place for it. ]

I'm so hungry...

[dappster]

Are you? Did you just lure me in here so you could grab a bite to eat? [ He laughs, slapping his arm lightly. ] Maybe it's you who's the pig in these parts...

But just to be sure, we should keep going.

[blacker]

Maybe... [ He still will roll up his pants leg, working to fasten the cucumber to his leg with an already used bandage. ]

You seem bored. Is that why you're trying to follow whatever it is? Maybe it just wants to mind its own business...

[dappster]

Do I? Is that your way of saying I'm boring you? [ relax, he's just teasing. But he picks one of the ripe cucumbers off of a stock to offer it. ] Here's a nice one.

[blacker]

Thanks. [ He reaches forward for the cucumber, taking it a bit quickly and eagerly. ] I'm going to make a really good salad when I get off this boring shift. Would you like some?

[dappster]

Aren't we staying here all night? It's not good to eat this late, anyway. [ He shakes his head!! Aoi has a normal appetite, Hei. ] I think there's a creek on the other side of this crop. Did you want to check?

[blacker]

[ His smile drops as he holds the cucumber to his chest. ] Ah ... alone?

[dappster]

[ AWW! He wants to big brother Hei. ] I'll come with. I don't want that pig mauling you by chance.

[blacker]

Or stealing my food. [ He smiles at Aoi, looking pleased and secure that he's going to be protected! ]

Things like this can be fun if you're with the right person.
