TEST DRIVE MEME

So first of all, welcome to Dyspros' very first test drive meme! We're happy that you're interested in the game, and we hope that you have some fun playing with the setting, regardless of whether you decide to join or not.

As a general reminder, we recommend that you look over the game information before jumping in. In addition, if you decide you're ready to join, you're welcome to put in a reserve, and applications will open on May 4th at 12:01 AM (EST). Finally, if you have any questions or concerns, please send us a message!

So now, without further ado, let's get to playing:

A ; NEW RECRUIT
Well then, welcome to the guild, Initiate! After some thought (or maybe the choice was obvious), you've finally settled on a guild, and you're ready to get started. You're welcome to check out your accommodations and see what kind of people you'll be living with for the foreseeable future. This is your home now, so hopefully you get alone with them. If not, then you can just spend all of your time sharpening your skills!

Whether you're just claiming your bed or you're jumping right into the thick of things to practice or sign up for a mission, a new recruit is unlikely to go unnoticed.
B ; MISSION TIME
It's your first mission, which is pretty exciting, right? You have all these pictures in your head of going off to fight a dragon, to come home with great riches and valor...

Too bad those missions are for the higher ups.

No, it's the middle of the night, and you're out guarding the small fields just outside of town from wild animals. Right now you're standing by the cucumbers, which are considered especially important to guard, for some reason. You have to fight off sleepiness somehow, so maybe an animal will come out for you to scare off, or maybe you'll just end up chatting with whoever is stuck doing this with you.

Or you know, if you're a dick, you'll steal the vegetables for yourself.
C ; STORM THE CASTLE
Okay, the missions for initiates are pretty lame, and you're ready for some real fighting. You can go alone, or you can go with some other people, but it's off to Castle Dyspros! You'll find a variety of creatures to fight, and the power of teamwork will help you make progress through the castle!

Or you'll die. There's that too. Good thing it's fairly inconsequential, if weird!

Either way, have fun fighting to your heart's content!

[ while he's already happily situated himself with the mercenaries, he still ends up wanting to make a full round of what he can. connections, you know, are important. it wasn't unusual for him to consider stepping behind someone's back for a better price. so he's wandering out in the main hall, having left the fighter's guild, when he happens to be addressed by a commanding voice. as far as he knows, it's a stranger. ]

You're a fighter?

[ and he chuckles, apparently bemused with the idea. ]

[When the man who answered fell into his line of sight, his calm demeanor immediately vaporized as anger and rage overtook his senses. He could recognized this man even from his grave because this was the person he wanted dead by his own hands. Without any warning at all, he lunged at man, nevermind that he was in the hall of a guild, aiming a fist right at the offending face.] ALI AL-SAACHEZ!!!

[Despite looking nothing like a fighter, as an Innovade, his reflex was faster and his punch was heavier than they looked. Though, against someone like Ali, it might not be much of an advantage but Tieria didn't care. All he wanted was to hurt or even better, kill the man who killed Neil and he didn't care if he had to do it barehanded.]

[ this all comes as a surprise, but relatively speaking, he was used to surprises. surprise attacks anyway. and his reflexes are honed as a result. Tieria's fist meets his open palm as he blocks a punch, eyes wide to match a widening grin, the force behind the blow unexpectedly strong. ]

What a welcome!

[ instead of releasing his fist, he holds tight. if he can keep his grip on him, he'll use it to yank his arm with an intent towards dislocation. ]

Who are you again?

[ he can come to a variety of conclusions fast—this is someone from home, someone who knows him, someone who he's affected directly through some killing or another—but those are just observations. as far as actually caring was concerned, he doesn't. ]

[The grin on that face makes him boil inside and he wants nothing but to wipe it off, preferably with Ali's own blood. This man who existed to feed on conflicts that cost far too much lives to count for. He will avenge Neil, definitely. He will take this monster down and end him. Definitely!

When he doesn't release his hand, Tieria didn't fret but instead he dugs his feet in and use it as a leverage to swing a kick at the mercenary.]

DIE! I'LL KILL YOU!

[He doesn't care about those questions and neither is he planning to answer to someone like Ali.]
