TEST DRIVE MEME

So first of all, welcome to Dyspros' very first test drive meme! We're happy that you're interested in the game, and we hope that you have some fun playing with the setting, regardless of whether you decide to join or not.

As a general reminder, we recommend that you look over the game information before jumping in. In addition, if you decide you're ready to join, you're welcome to put in a reserve, and applications will open on May 4th at 12:01 AM (EST). Finally, if you have any questions or concerns, please send us a message!

So now, without further ado, let's get to playing:

A ; NEW RECRUIT

Well then, welcome to the guild, Initiate! After some thought (or maybe the choice was obvious), you've finally settled on a guild, and you're ready to get started. You're welcome to check out your accommodations and see what kind of people you'll be living with for the foreseeable future. This is your home now, so hopefully you get alone with them. If not, then you can just spend all of your time sharpening your skills!

Whether you're just claiming your bed or you're jumping right into the thick of things to practice or sign up for a mission, a new recruit is unlikely to go unnoticed.

B ; MISSION TIME

It's your first mission, which is pretty exciting, right? You have all these pictures in your head of going off to fight a dragon, to come home with great riches and valor...

Too bad those missions are for the higher ups.

No, it's the middle of the night, and you're out guarding the small fields just outside of town from wild animals. Right now you're standing by the cucumbers, which are considered especially important to guard, for some reason. You have to fight off sleepiness somehow, so maybe an animal will come out for you to scare off, or maybe you'll just end up chatting with whoever is stuck doing this with you.

Or you know, if you're a dick, you'll steal the vegetables for yourself.

C ; STORM THE CASTLE

Okay, the missions for initiates are pretty lame, and you're ready for some real fighting. You can go alone, or you can go with some other people, but it's off to Castle Dyspros! You'll find a variety of creatures to fight, and the power of teamwork will help you make progress through the castle!

Or you'll die. There's that too. Good thing it's fairly inconsequential, if weird!

Either way, have fun fighting to your heart's content!

[ Yogi always seems to show up at the right times just to save your butt, doesn't he? You should be forever grateful to him!

... Though in actuality when Yogi spies the boy in hiding, he is completely unaware of his situation or why on Earth he could be hanging out in a place like this. Not like any of that mattered though- his friend was here! And what kind of friend would he be without a proper greeting? ]

Oh! Hello Gareki-kun! [ Blowing his cover? Oblivious. ] Aaah, I didn't know you were going to be here! Are you playing a game?

[ Because really the only reason he can think of Gareki being such a location would be nothing more than playing hide-and-go-seek or something! What fun! ]

[HAHAHAHA. No. You're giving yourself a little too much credit here.

Since Yogi is being unnecessarily loud as usual, expect a hand to quickly silence him before he really does attract unwanted attention.]

Shh! Keep your voice down!

[/ANGRY WHISPER.

Also, he's appalled by that kind of assumption.]

O-oh. So it really was a game, afterall! Besides, the only reason Gareki would be hiding and trying to keep quiet in a place like this was if he was playing a game, right?

... R-right? ]

You don't have to worry, I won't tell anyone where you are. [ Ahhh but... who was he playing with? A quick scan around the area before his face falls briefly with confusion. ]

So, um, who are you hiding from? Oh oh! Can I hide, too?

[How dare you put that in your tag.

And it's not a game you man-child! Stop making terrible assumptions!]

You don't need to know who I'm hiding from!

[It's not that he doesn't trust you, Yogi. But he's sure that you'll go into scolding mode if he says the authorities are after him. He doesn't want to be told off right now.]

And I don't care what you do. You can't hide here though!

[ I DO WHAT I WANT.

Oh gosh Gareki why were you being so complicated? ] Is it... that person over there? They seem to be looking for someone!

-Oh! Maybe it's that lady! She looks like she wants to play a game, too. Or maybe... [ And that's when he saw it

Those group of authorities over there? Yeah, they really looked like they were looking for something. But... it couldn't be...

Right? ]

Aaaah, Gareki-kun, is everything okay? Those men over there...-

[Gareki can be as complicated as he wants to be!!]

Keep quiet!!

[More loud whispering! Geez, Yogi. Get with the program and get out of here already. You're attracting too much attention. But it finally seems like the blond has caught on to what's going on.]

Everything's fine. I'm just waiting for them to move on.

[He doesn't like the look that Yogi is giving him though and felt the need to defend himself.]

I didn't do anything wrong...!

You are? Huh... [ Wait.

Authorities + Gareki = bad??? He knows the types of thing you have done in the past, and this boy wouldn't play a game of hide-and-go-seek for no reason, much less without Yogi!

SHOVING HIMSELF INTO GARKEI'S HIDING PLACE RIGHT NOW because he's finally starting to realize what's going on. ]

Are you sure!? Did you take something from them? Gareki-kun you know that's not right!! [ His lowering his voice to a whisper but you're right... scolding tone away! ]

[tsunderekun]

Get out of here! There's no space for you!!

[NOPE NOPE NOPE! There's no way you're putting yourself in this spot! Get out! Get out!

Gareki even tries to assist him by pushing the blond out.]

And I didn't take anything from them!

[If you really think yours friends, Yogi, don't assume bad things about them! Gosh, no wonder Gareki doesn't want to be treated as such.]

I already said I didn't do anything wrong!

[ fdsajfbsgh h-hey no pushing he'll fall!

In desperation for losing his footing, Yogi will snatch his arms forward and cling on to the nearest thing within arms reach-

-which, of course, just so happened to be Gareki. Lovely, no? ]

Waaaaah!! Careful, careful! [ SQUIRMING TO STAY UPRIGHT. ]

Then what is really going on? Should I talk to them? Maybe it was a misunderstanding...!

[Maybe it'll teach Yogi a lesson for constantly butting into Gareki's business!

And wow, not lovely! Gareki nearly falls with the blond when he's suddenly grabbed by the arm. Of course that's going to make him even more annoyed.

Have a hard hit with his other hand, Yogi. You deserved it.]

It's none of your business, so don't involve yourself in my affairs...!

[But welp. Not Gareki can be arrested on charges of assault. Maybe.]

I'm just waiting for things to calm down before I make my escape.

[Gareki is good at planning getaways. He won't need your help, Yogi...!]

[ But this is what Yogi does. As a friend, it is his only option to make sure you are a good path doing righteous things!!

Lesson one: hitting Yogi would not be one of them.

Once the impact is made, the blond with throw both of his hands back from Gareki's arm in attempt to cradle his now wounded body. Which, in turn, would only cause him to fumble and land dramatically on his back. ]

Ow ow oww... [ A desperate whine as a new bruise is formed, tears already well developed in his eyes. ] I... I just want to help you!

[ He sits up, facial features dropping to a low pout. You're so cruel...!! ]

If you didn't do anything wrong, then why do you have to escape? [ Yeah this isn't exactly registering to him. ] They're not bad people, are they?
