TEST DRIVE ; no. 1
So first of all, welcome to Dyspros' very first test drive meme! We're happy that you're interested in the game, and we hope that you have some fun playing with the setting, regardless of whether you decide to join or not.
As a general reminder, we recommend that you look over the game information before jumping in. In addition, if you decide you're ready to join, you're welcome to put in a reserve, and applications will open on May 4th at 12:01 AM (EST). Finally, if you have any questions or concerns, please send us a message!
So now, without further ado, let's get to playing:

A ; NEW RECRUITWell then, welcome to the guild, Initiate! After some thought (or maybe the choice was obvious), you've finally settled on a guild, and you're ready to get started. You're welcome to check out your accommodations and see what kind of people you'll be living with for the foreseeable future. This is your home now, so hopefully you get alone with them. If not, then you can just spend all of your time sharpening your skills!B ; MISSION TIME
Whether you're just claiming your bed or you're jumping right into the thick of things to practice or sign up for a mission, a new recruit is unlikely to go unnoticed. It's your first mission, which is pretty exciting, right? You have all these pictures in your head of going off to fight a dragon, to come home with great riches and valor...C ; STORM THE CASTLE
Too bad those missions are for the higher ups.
No, it's the middle of the night, and you're out guarding the small fields just outside of town from wild animals. Right now you're standing by the cucumbers, which are considered especially important to guard, for some reason. You have to fight off sleepiness somehow, so maybe an animal will come out for you to scare off, or maybe you'll just end up chatting with whoever is stuck doing this with you.
Or you know, if you're a dick, you'll steal the vegetables for yourself.Okay, the missions for initiates are pretty lame, and you're ready for some real fighting. You can go alone, or you can go with some other people, but it's off to Castle Dyspros! You'll find a variety of creatures to fight, and the power of teamwork will help you make progress through the castle!D ; PICK YOUR OWN
Or you'll die. There's that too. Good thing it's fairly inconsequential, if weird!
Either way, have fun fighting to your heart's content!Just like it says, if none of the others appeal to you, feel free to make up your own prompt!

tense enough to sigh through his nose and shoot a cold look at professor whiny mcwhinerson.]
No, because unlike you, I have respect for living things and consider it an honor to watch over such a magnificent garden.
[a little white lie, he's actually tired and bored and craving hummus and playing with the shy flowers lost its novelty awhile ago, but he figured that would be enough to shut the jerk up. stop talking to him you awful human being.]

colress has no flipping idea why, but he's felt some pretty hostile vibes coming from the other since they received the assignment, which was Quite a while ago. more confusing is that he has no idea where the hostility is coming from: he's pretty sure he doesn't look off-putting or menacing, to most people at least, so...
well whatever. it may be for an entire night, but he supposes he could put up with this gay baby next to him for the rest of the mission-- he dealt with ghetsis's attitude for longer, after all. he scoffs.]
Please! Magnificent as it is, why leave this job to us when an effective, bio-friendly pesticide can do the job just as easily? There are other small jobs we new recruits can do, after all!

Of course your solution would entail hurting innocent members of this biome... Obviously, they do not want harm to come to the smaller creatures here, but someone still needs to protect the defenseless plants.
[he gives a shy flower another gentle poke-- awawawawawa it does its little shy flower thing and closes up, how kawaii.]
When it comes to matters of other living things, there is usually never one simple solution.

And? If it's to rid the garden of a few pests in comparison to its near-infinitesimal population, what's fending off a few dozen critters VIA chemical means going to hurt?
[he crosses his arms with a shrug, letting out a hum in thought. even though he has (sort of) reformed, the crankiness from being stuck in this position is showing through, and he basically reverts to when he was part of Team Plasma.]
Traps are just as effective for the larger sort-- even ones that do not cause any harm to the animal, and are far more inexpensive than hiring a couple of new recruits for guarding!
[okay, not quite: he definitely would have recommended far more lethal means otherwise.]

[god help him from stabbing this asshole. N knows he shouldn't be surprised such a disgusting person would ever hurt kyurem, but it's still aggravating-- even moreso knowing he can't do anything about it.]
If you could look outside yourself for more than five minutes, you would see that. There is no trusting man-made devices; in the end, watching over the garden ourselves is the best solution.
[even though he just said nothing is black and white.]
