TEST DRIVE MEME

So first of all, welcome to Dyspros' very first test drive meme! We're happy that you're interested in the game, and we hope that you have some fun playing with the setting, regardless of whether you decide to join or not.

As a general reminder, we recommend that you look over the game information before jumping in. In addition, if you decide you're ready to join, you're welcome to put in a reserve, and applications will open on May 4th at 12:01 AM (EST). Finally, if you have any questions or concerns, please send us a message!

So now, without further ado, let's get to playing:

A ; NEW RECRUIT
Well then, welcome to the guild, Initiate! After some thought (or maybe the choice was obvious), you've finally settled on a guild, and you're ready to get started. You're welcome to check out your accommodations and see what kind of people you'll be living with for the foreseeable future. This is your home now, so hopefully you get alone with them. If not, then you can just spend all of your time sharpening your skills!

Whether you're just claiming your bed or you're jumping right into the thick of things to practice or sign up for a mission, a new recruit is unlikely to go unnoticed.
B ; MISSION TIME
It's your first mission, which is pretty exciting, right? You have all these pictures in your head of going off to fight a dragon, to come home with great riches and valor...

Too bad those missions are for the higher ups.

No, it's the middle of the night, and you're out guarding the small fields just outside of town from wild animals. Right now you're standing by the cucumbers, which are considered especially important to guard, for some reason. You have to fight off sleepiness somehow, so maybe an animal will come out for you to scare off, or maybe you'll just end up chatting with whoever is stuck doing this with you.

Or you know, if you're a dick, you'll steal the vegetables for yourself.
C ; STORM THE CASTLE
Okay, the missions for initiates are pretty lame, and you're ready for some real fighting. You can go alone, or you can go with some other people, but it's off to Castle Dyspros! You'll find a variety of creatures to fight, and the power of teamwork will help you make progress through the castle!

Or you'll die. There's that too. Good thing it's fairly inconsequential, if weird!

Either way, have fun fighting to your heart's content!

[Starting from the bottom again is incredibly frustrating, not that she'd show it - but as long as she's stuck here, it's got to be done.]

[So Kuroyukihime's presented herself at the Seven Titans, announcing her intent to follow the path of a Punisher. Time to drag herself up the ranks again, with a calm smile on her face all the way and a clever eye cast towards running the place. That's the only way she's going to figure anything out about this world.]

[Plus, cutting things makes her feel at home. Dark magic? Well, she is the Black King back in Brain Burst for a reason...]

[She's currently getting the hang of using a blade that's not attached to her, slashing at the training dummies at far too close a range - so she backs up a little, and the sword sways slightly in her hand. With a tightening of her grip she's got it secure again, and she stops for a moment to smile at her hands.]

This might take more work than I thought. [But she grins like she's ready for it.]

[Kuroyukihime reaches up to her neck for the fiftieth time to try and get on the globalnet - I can just accelerate, nobody will notice! - before she realizes her Neuro Linker isn't there. Her neck feels so bare without it.]

[Now, she's quite a patient person, but there comes a point in the middle of the night where you're tired and hungry and this is not what you expected out of a mission.]

[You need to work within the system to get any advantage, she repeats to herself, but she's young and her stomach is rumbling and she doesn't want to think about how she's powerless here. Instead, to distract herself, she turns to her guildmate.]

Pluck me off a cucumber.

[ Apollo's already eating one, and gives her a somewhat annoyed look from his seated spot on the ground. ]

Huh? Get your own. These ones are mine, [ he says somewhat defensively, gathering the ones he's got closer to himself. Also, talking with his mouth full. What charming guards they make. ]

[Charming is about right. Geez, Apollo, didn't you ever learn any manners?]

[Kuroyukihime shoots him a sidelong Look and straightens her posture, flipping her hair behind her shoulder. She'll just have to be the better person, then.]

There are plenty. You can share, boy.

[Her hand twitches towards the pile of cucumbers Apollo has. She's itching to snatch one, just to spite this kid.]

[ nope... ]

What, are you deaf? I said get your own. There's a ton of 'em all around. I'm not going to get food for some girl I don't even know.

[ u wouldn't dare Kuroyukihime ]

[Oh, she would dare, if she had reputation or power to back her up - that she doesn't is the only thing stopping her. It's as though her princess crown has been ripped off her head, and she is not at all pleased.]

[And now she's not going to get one, just because to get her own would be backing down. And she will not back down to this boy. Instead, she smiles with a hint of tooth flashing.]

Do you have trouble moving your arms to reach back twenty centimeters and grab something? I wouldn't have thought.

It's Kuroyukihime. [And it'd do you well to remember it, goes the unspoken.]

Tch. That's a stupid name. [ too rude for this land. Really, though, what a long name!! He's definitely going to forget it in like ten minutes.

Sadly, Apollo is stubborn as a mule, and competitive, too. It's on. ]

Nah, I just don't do wanna do it. I don't do favors for annoying girls.
